The Management of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency, headed by the Director Mr. Davorin Primorac attended the Summit of Gate One Members in Sofia, (Bulgaria), today.
Gate One is a regional initiative of ANSPs or air navigation service providers, established in 2013. The purpose of the Gate One Initiative is to promote the effectiveness of control of European airspace through improved cooperation between members as well as to stronger presentation of the region, covered by the member states, in making decisions regarding air transport in the territory of Europe.
At today's summit, a protocol on the cooperation and coordination of all member states of GATE Onewas agreed and signed. There were discussing the strategic goals, work program and Action Plan for 2020. in the context of a changing environment in Single European Sky. During the meeting, the directors agreed on the importance of enhancing the strategic position of Gate One at European level and its collaborative techniques, which will bring operational benefits in fulfilling the SES and emphasize the role of Gate One, as a key player in the processes of making decisions in the European ATM. During this ceremony, the directors of the air traffic service providers of the member states of GATE One Initiativecongratulated to Mr. Primorac, director and the staff of BHANSA on the historic success, that they achieved on 05.12.2019. by taking control of the airspace to the level of flight FL 660 or 20 000 meters and thus the implementation of the Phase II of the Airspace Management Plan of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
By signing this cooperation protocol, BHANSA, as the youngest air traffic service provider in Europe, has become an equal and recognized partner within the Gate One family, with all the rights and obligations arising from that recognition.
