Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation, Bosnia and Herzegovina Airspace Management Committee and EUROCONTROL, has established Airspace Management Cell (AMC), with the aim of establishing functional and efficient Airspace Management (ASM).
AMC has been established pursuant to The Aviation Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina 39/09), Rulebook on the Establishment of Rules for the Flexible Use of Airspace (Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina 79/10) and Rulebook on the Establishment and Organisation of the Airspace Management Unit (Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina 9/17).
This cell is responsible for the operational airspace management (level 2), i.e. pre-tactical level. The cell starts its work on December 6th, 2018.
BHANSA runs the Airspace Management Cell. Both Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina staff and BHANSA staff participate in its work.
The implementation of the concept of the Flexible Use of Airspace (FUA) and the regulations of The Aviation Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Airspace Management will be completely finished by establishing Airspace Management Cell. This allows increase in the capacity of the air navigation service system as one of the essential elements in the process of implementing ATM strategy whose ultimate goal is to provide airspace control service in the Bosnia and Herzegovina airspace by BHANSA.
Basic principles of Airspace Management of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the strategic and pre-tactical level, contact information of the Airspace Management Cell and the application form for use of airspace are published on the BHANSA web page via link:
