Conference on „Transition from Aeronautical Information Services to Aeronautical Information Management”, with emphasis on current migration status in Bosnia Herzegovina, jointly organized by BHANSA and Technical Assistance and Information Exchange, instrument of European Commission took place in Mostar on 28 and 29 March 2019.
The conference aimed to exchange experiences of EU member states with all relevant entities involved in air traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to raise awareness of the importance of transition to aeronautical information management in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Mr. Boris Ćorić, on behalf of the Aeronautical Information Service of BiH, the local coordinator of TAIEX and Mrs. Sanela Zekić, Head of Aeronautical Information Service of BHANSA, held an opening speech which was followed by lectures by distinguished experts and lecturers Mr. Phillip Notry and Mr. Bruno Talavera from French Civil Aviation University (ENAC) and Mr. Uroš Grošelj from Slovenia Control. All the main themes such as the air quality data requirements, the need for migration to aeronautical information management, and its impact on the current and future ATM concepts have been addressed through the two days of the conference.
The conference was attended by 25 representatives, including representatives of BHANSA, and all relevant entities engaged in air traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as the BiH Ministry of Defense, BiH Directorate of Civil Aviation, representatives of international airports, sport airfields etc..
At the end of the conference, participants expressed satisfaction with the hosts BHANSA and TAIEX for the successful organization of this event.
