In early June of this year it has started professional training of candidates for air traffic controllers, necessary for the implementation of Phase II - The beginning of the provision of services in the entire airspace of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On that occasion, on the date 06.06.2017. it was held the press conference, organized by BHANSA, on which it is marked the beginning of professional training of 69 young people who will get the chance to become part of the collective BHANSA, after their completion of training.
During the conference, Director of BHANSA, Mr. Primorac stressed the importance of signing the contract on professional training of 69 air traffic controllers which is concluded with the provider of air navigation services in the Czech Republic (ANS CZ). He took the opportunity to thank the Ministry of Communications and Transport, headed by Mr. Ismir Jusko, Mr. Jan Klas, Director of the Service provider of air navigation services of the Czech Republic (ANS CZ) and Ms. Jana Navratilova, director of the The Czech Air Navigation Institute ( (CANI) because they came and confirm the significance of the signing of such a Contract, which was assessed as the biggest project of this nature in Europe.
Mr. Primorac congratulated to all scholarship students as successfully passed all stages of the demanding selection and wished them success in further education and pointed out the availability of all employees of BHANSA during all phases of professional training. He thanked all employees who are with selfless efforts and commitment, together with the management of BHANSA, contributed to a significant development of BHANSA in the last year.
"BHANSA as the youngest service provider in Europe, with the signing of this Contract is one step closer to achieving its strategic goal - beginning of providing services in the entire airspace of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is planned for the end of 2019."
Mr. Primorac stressed that the BHANSA, after fulfilling all the requirements of the regulations of the European Commission (Single European Sky), as well as all other requirements and conditions that are specified to BHANSA, by the Directorate of Civil Aviation, has received certification for the provision of air navigation services.
"With this extremely important step, as well as the recent successful start of the Area Control Center in Banja Luka, and the getting an award of the European Commission for SEAFRA (South-East Axis Free Route Airspace) at the World Congress in Madrid, which is a project that has been realized together with partner agencies from Croatia and Serbia, BHANSA will continue to work in a safe and efficient provision of air navigation services with a constant increase in the capacity of their own airspace. We are proud to confirm that in 2017. we achieved an increase of traffic for 18%."
On the occasion of the beginning of the professional training of a new generation of air traffic controllers, the Minister of Communications and Transport Mr. Ismir Jusko pointed out the following: "In front of us is a new, pioneering generation that will get the chance to control the entire airspace of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is a great benefit. In October of 2019. we shall completely control our sky, although the current financial outlay that our country is paid is annually close to 27 millions of BAM. It will be greater strategic benefit that we show that we have staff who can take over the work which has been doing by neighbors", He wished a good luck to future air traffic controllers in demanding education that is in front of them.
Jan Klas, director of the service provider of Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CZ) thanked for the exceptional good cooperation between BHANSA and ANS CZ, and expressed his satisfaction with the support that the project has received from the Ministry of Communications and Transport. He stressed the importance of this project for the Czech Republic as well as for providers of Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CZ).
"This is a historical contract for the Czech Republic, but also for a company that I lead, not only because of the financial level of the Contract, but because of the importance of taking control of its skies of our BH partners. We are proud that we are part of this project, and we glad to see political support, as well as the readiness of the team of BHANSA to work together on this project", said Director Klas. He also told students that hard work is in front of them, but the opportunities that are waiting for them are big"
At the end of a speech Jana Navratilova, director of the The Czech Air Navigation Institute, addressed the audience too and pointed out that the provider of Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CZ) made great efforts to prepare a quality offer that will meet all the requirements of this project, and she also wished good luck and the success to all participants of the training.
