100th Session of the Airspace Management Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina Held

The 100th jubilee session of the Airspace Management Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held at the Area Control Center in Sarajevo. This significant event provided an opportunity to showcase the Committee’s achievements, which have a direct impact on the safety and efficiency of air traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among the most notable accomplishments are the adoption of the Airspace Management Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the implementation of the Priority List for the Use and Allocation of Airspace, and the approval of the Procedure for Changing the Organization and Structure of Airspace in FIR Sarajevo. These decisions mark a step forward in the modernization of air traffic and alignment with international standards.

The jubilee session also served as an informal gathering for members from all previous terms, who emphasized the importance of continuous efforts to enhance airspace security and operational efficiency.

The Committee closely cooperates with numerous institutions and organizations, including the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency, the Ministry of Defense, EUFOR, law enforcement agencies, civil protection, as well as aero and paragliding clubs. Particularly noteworthy is its collaboration with the Airspace Management Cell of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AMC).

The Airspace Management Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016. Its members include representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA), the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA), and the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
